INTERVIEW AT THE KOREAN CONSULATE

Thursday 1AM-Left for consulate for 11AM interview, Tampa to Atlanta, 450 miles.

Thursday 8:30AM-Arrived in Atlanta, the city is built upon fairly steep hills! Tampa is flat! Had trouble clutching my car waiting on line for the parking garage. Did not roll backward into car behind me, or stall. Was quite proud!

Thursday 8:40AM- Realized I didn't bring jacket. Tampa 68F Atlanta 34F Chilly! Changed into business clothes in parking garage. Yup, I got class!

Thursday 10AM-Arrived at consulate early as requested. Then sat for an hour.

Thursday 11AM-Went to group interview. Myself, Mr. Kim from consulate, a 24 cute YO girl from Charlotte, North Carolina, a 50 YO man from Georgia, and a 27 YO man from Florida. The meeting lasted 35-40 minutes. Mr. Kim mostly spoke regarding Korea, his employment in Japan, and the fact that interviewing us "wasn't supposed to be part of his job". He was very pleasant. The other three teachers interviewees spoke for about 6 minutes each. I was interviewed for maybe 3 or 4. I guess it may have been because I had some experience and was going to a public school. Mr. Kim did mention a different dialect that is spoken in Mokpo compared to standard Korean.

T Thursday 12:15-Changed into my civvies and left for Tampa.

Thursday ?PM Gainesville, Florida-Falling asleep at wheel, pull over and buy 2 Starbucks "Double Shots with Energy". Guzzled both, my ears actually started to crackle!
